New Treatment Options for Varicose Veins, presented by Timothy Goertzen, M.D.

This continuing Medical Education Event Hosted by Lakeview Hospital, Stillwater, MN will feature St. Paul Radiology's Medical Director of the Vein Center of St. Paul Radiology.  Dr. Goertzen is a board certified interventional radiologist and member of the charter class of diplomates to have the distinction of earning board certification in the specialty of phelbology by the American Board of Phlebology in 2008. 

Dr. Goertzen will be reviewing the epidemiology and prevalence of venous disease, the anatomy and pathophysiology of venous insufficiency, the clinical findings and duplex assessment of venous insufficiency and endovenous treatment options now available for patients with symptomatic saphenous vein reflux.  Time permitting, Dr. Goertzen will also discuss adjunctive procedures for patients with varicose veins.
