Event
Every year thousands of survivors, their friends and family get together on Mother's Day to support the local efforts of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. They walk, run or donate to a very worthwhile cause: Finding a cure for breast cancer. As part of the local medical community, St. Paul Radiology plays a vital role in screening and diagnosis of breast cancer. Tara Bowman, M.D. says "Without question, my partners and I believe early detection of breast cancer can save lives." And participation in weekly collaboration with other medical specialists including oncology, pathology and surgeons provides improved continuity of care and ultimately outcomes. But for many at St. Paul Radiology it's more than just reminding friends and family over 40 to get their annual screening mammogram. It's about supporting those who have survived, remembering those who have not and showing our support for the ultimate goal, a cure. So, thanks to those who joined us this year, and if you're a patient of St. Paul Radiology, please consider joining us next year. Until then, enjoy the photos and remind a friend to schedule their screening mammogram!
