Benedict Cassen used radioiodine to determine whether a thyroid nodule accumulates iodine, helping to differentiate benign from malignant nodules.

1950

Drs. Coleman & Peterson perform first discogram in Minnesota.
Dr. Peterson also performed the first complete myelogram in the world at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
